HURON – Barbara B. Allen, 87, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at her residence.

Born March 17, 1928, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Lester H. and Bernice (Byrle) Talley.  She married Thurman M. Allen March 28, 1947.

Barbara had been a teacher’s aide at Huron Elementary School and was a member of the Huron Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Surviving:     husband, Thurman Allen, Huron
                           son, Keven Mitchell  (Robin) Allen, Huron

Her parents; son, Stephen Melvin Allen; brother, Bruce William Talley; and sisters, Betty Byrle Casey and Doris Jacklyn Russell, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Burial will be in Huron Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
